I grew up in East Texas for most of my life, and made the move to Denver in 2019. I’ve loved making it my new home and making lots of fun memories along the way. While being here I’ve enjoyed all the outdoor things from skiing, hiking, fly fishing, and spending weekends in the mountains. When I’m not teaching I like to get outside as often as I can, that’s my happy place!

I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Multidisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas Permian Basin and taught in Texas for two years before moving to Denver. First grade has always been one of my favorite grades. I love seeing all the growth that students make over the year as a reader, writer, mathematician, friend, problem solver, and so much more! As a teacher I believe each day is a new learning opportunity for both my students and I. My goal is to help my students discover their own unique talents and passions, and to build on their existing strengths. I believe a classroom should be a place of exploration, collaboration, laughter and fun!
