Dear Palmer School Community,
Thank you for your continued partnership in the Palmer principal selection process. We are excited to share that Sara Snyder-Poole has been selected as the next principal at Palmer. We are confident that Mrs. Snyder-Poole will enter the school community ready to serve and build upon the many strengths at Palmer.
Mrs. Sara Snyder-Poole is a dedicated educator with over two decades of experience in Denver Public Schools, driven by a deep commitment to neighborhood schools and early childhood excellence. Her journey in education began in the classroom as a first and grade teacher, which led her to specialize as a Descubriendo La Lectura teacher, where she found her passion for bilingual literacy and helping students achieve significant growth. Throughout her career, she has served in various leadership roles, including Restorative Justice Coordinator and Assistant Principal, where she discovered her purpose: to foster inclusive environments that support the "whole child" and empower staff through collaborative coaching and data-informed practices. Currently, as Principal of Pascual LeDoux Academy, Mrs. Snyder-Poole is incredibly proud to lead the first Tools of the Mind Endorsed School in the nation where she has worked diligently to achieve NAEYC recognition, all while ensuring our school remains a nurturing, joyful and welcoming space for young learners. She has a proven track record of school improvement, successfully leading multiple elementary schools from "Priority Watch" to "Meets Expectations" status by focusing on strong clear systems and structures, student growth and professional development. Beyond her professional life, her leadership is grounded in the belief that every voice matters and that true success comes from strong partnerships with families and the community. She is a fully bilingual leader with a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction and a P-3 Leadership Certificate, and she is thrilled to bring this lifelong passion for early childhood, collaboration, and high-quality instruction to her work every day. Her vision for our school is to ensure every young learner thrives in a joyful, high-quality environment that prepares them for a lifetime of achievement. We are excited to welcome Mrs. Snyder-Poole to the Palmer community.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who engaged in the selection process and contributed input and feedback. Additionally, we would like to extend our gratitude to the Palmer Collaborative School Committee (CSC) for their time, thoughtfulness, and commitment to the ongoing success of Palmer.
Lastly, we would like to thank Mrs. Dawn Salter and the Palmer team for their ongoing leadership and service to the school community this year.
Mrs. Snyder-Poole will begin listening and learning with the Palmer community in the coming weeks and will assume full principalship over the summer. For the moment, please join us in welcoming Mrs. Snyder-Poole as the next principal at Palmer.
