After School Enrichments at Palmer Elementary School
The Palmer PTA organizes and facilitates the after school enrichments. This allows the clubs to change with the needs of our students and interests of the community. Whenever possible we encourage our specials teachers to offer clubs they have expertise in and we bring in third party groups to add more diversity to our programming.
After-School Enrichment programs for the Fall Session include Typing Club, Crafty Critters at Palmer, 1st Tee Read ‘n’ Swing (Golf), Craftsman & the Holy Grail at Palmer, Chess Club, Rubik’s Cube Club, and Denver Urban Garden (DUG) Club.
If you have an idea for a program you would like to bring to Palmer, please let us know. If you would like to volunteer to help with enrichments contact PalmerPTAVP@gmail.com.
Schedule
Registration
All after school enrichments are done online. The link and information is sent out a few weeks prior to clubs starting. The enrichments are first come first serve so early registration is encouraged. If you go to register and there is no option to do so, it is sold out. Please fill out one registration form per child. If you do not have access to a computer, please come into the Palmer front office to register.
Scholarships are offered each session for students in need. One scholarship per student, per session. If program registration is done by a third party, that third party will have their own scholarship policy. To receive a scholarship for your child, contact PalmerPTAVP@gmail.com.
If you have questions about what the enrichment entails or concerns about your child in that club, email the teacher directly.
Pickup
Enrichments run immediately after school for one hour. Enrichment teachers will get your child to their club and you are responsible for picking them up promptly an hour later. Please be at the front door on the east side of the school. Doors are locked so you will have to wait outside until they are released.
Communication
Enrichment teachers will be given your email and phone number to communicate updates and program notes. Please be sure you register with contact information you check regularly.
